چکیده
BACKGROUNDRacial/ethnic survival disparities in neuroblastoma were first reported more than a decade ago. We sought to investigate if these have persisted with current era therapy.METHODSTwo patient cohorts identified the International Neuroblastoma Risk Group Data Commons (INRGdc) (Cohort 1: diagnosed 2001-2009, n=4359; Cohort 2: 2010-2019, n=4891). Chi-squared tests used assess relationship between race/ethnicity and clinical biologic features. Survival was estimated by Kaplan-Meier method. Cox proportional hazards regression analyses performed association racial/ethnic groups prognostic markers.RESULTSSignificantly higher 5-year event-free (EFS) overall (OS) observed for 2 compared 1 (P<0.001 P<0.001, respectively). Compared White patients, Black patients both had proportion of high-risk disease P<0.001; P<0.001) worse EFS OS P<0.001). In 1, Native Americans also (P=0.03) inferior EFS/OS. No significant low- or intermediate-risk either cohort 1. Hispanic significantly (P=0.047). Significantly OS, but not EFS, (P=0.006 P=0.02, respectively) among assigned receive post-Consolidation dinutuximab on trials (n=885).CONCLUSIONRacial/ethnic over time dinutuximab.

Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Salivary Gland Cancer Survival.
IMPORTANCE Several recent US studies have documented racial disparities in head and neck cancer outcomes, but few have investigated racial and ethnic differences in salivary gland cancer (SGCA) survival. OBJECTIVE To determine whether patient race or ethnicity affects SGCA survival. DESIGN, SETTING, AND PARTICIPANTS Retrospective survival analysis of all patients with SGCA from 1988 through...
متن کاملMedical advances and racial/ethnic disparities in cancer survival.
BACKGROUND Although advances in early detection and treatment of cancer improve overall population survival, these advances may not benefit all population groups equally and may heighten racial/ethnic differences in survival. METHODS We identified cancer cases in the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results program, who were ages > or = 20 years and diagnosed with one invasive cancer in 199...

OBJECTIVE To determine whether or not patient race and ethnicity affect sinonasal cancer survival. STUDY DESIGN Retrospective database analysis. SETTING National Cancer Institute's Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Database, 1988-2010. SUBJECTS AND METHODS Sinonasal carcinoma cases were extracted according to site codes and histology recode-broad groupings. The cohort was used t...
متن کاملSocioeconomic and Racial/Ethnic Disparities in Cancer Mortality, Incidence, and Survival in the United States, 1950–2014: Over Six Decades of Changing Patterns and Widening Inequalities
We analyzed socioeconomic and racial/ethnic disparities in US mortality, incidence, and survival rates from all-cancers combined and major cancers from 1950 to 2014. Census-based deprivation indices were linked to national mortality and cancer data for area-based socioeconomic patterns in mortality, incidence, and survival. The National Longitudinal Mortality Study was used to analyze individua...
